Candle Holders & Lighting

When it gets dark in the north as early as the afternoon, Scandinavians light candles – on the table, on the windowsill, in the hallway. Candlelight there is not a decorative detail, but an integral part of everyday life. In this category, you will find candle holders and candelabras that bring this atmosphere into your home.

Bengt & Lotta: Iron Silhouettes

The candle holders from Swedish design duo Bengt & Lotta are crafted in Sweden from lacquered iron. Angels, moose, skiers, pine cones, or an entire Christmas forest – the intricate motifs look like paper cutouts and cast beautiful shadows in candlelight. With the 4-candle candelabras, you also have an Advent candle holder.

Dottir Winter Stories: Little Scenes from the Winter Forest

The Winter Stories by Dottir Nordic Design tell little tales: doe and fawn, fox, hare, hedgehog, squirrel, and mushrooms. Many motifs can be combined to create an entire winter landscape – from an Advent wreath substitute to a rotating candle holder with angel chimes.

Nääsgränsgården and Muurla

Nääsgränsgården offers candle holders with gnomes and the wrought-iron Hilda candle holder. Muurla from Finland brings the Moomins into play – for example, with LED candles that are also suitable for a child's room as they have no open flame.

A Tip for the Advent Season

Combine a large candelabra as a centerpiece with a few small candle holders around it. This creates a calm, typically Scandinavian island of light – and please never leave burning candles unattended.
