Christmas Forest – the Christmas forest by Bengt & Lotta

The Christmas Forest candle holder creates an entire forest scene out of black steel. Various animals appear among trees and branches, forming a wide, graphic silhouette together.

You don't necessarily discover the motif at a single glance. It is precisely the many small figures and details that make the Christmas forest interesting and ensure that the candle holder looks lively despite its clear, black form.

Four candles – an alternative to the Advent wreath

Christmas Forest is designed for four taper candles. This allows the candle holder to accompany you beautifully through the Advent season: on the first Advent one candle is lit, and then one more is added week by week.

For those who do not want a classic Advent wreath, this offers a long-lasting alternative that can be used again every year. Of course, the four candles do not only have to be lit together during Advent.

41 cm wide and 2 kg heavy

With a width of 41 cm and a height of 24 cm, Christmas Forest is one of the larger candle holders from Bengt & Lotta. It requires a bit of space and looks particularly good on a dining table, sideboard, dresser, or wider windowsill.

The weight of 2,000 g is also important information for online purchasing. The many cut-out areas make the Christmas forest appear relatively light in pictures. In fact, it is a solid steel candle holder.

More of a winter forest than just Christmas decoration

The name Christmas Forest naturally creates a direct link to Christmas. The motif itself, however, is a forest scene with trees and animals. Therefore, I would not pack the candle holder away immediately after Christmas.

In January and February in particular, forest, animals, black steel, and candlelight fit very well into the season for me. Christmas Forest can therefore easily remain as a winter candle holder throughout the entire dark season.

My assessment

I especially like Christmas Forest as an alternative to the classic Advent wreath. You don't need any additional fir greenery or decorations that have to be disposed of after Christmas. Just put in four candles – and you're done.

At the same time, it would be a shame to use the candle holder only on the four Sundays of Advent. With a width of 41 cm, a weight of 2 kg, and the detailed forest silhouette, Christmas Forest is an independent design object that works even without lit candles.

And although there is "Christmas" in the name, the motif is actually a winter forest to me. Therefore, it can easily remain for quite a while after Christmas has long since passed.
