Why enamel works well here

Muurla builds its enamel tableware on a core of carbon steel, which is double-enameled. The result is lightweight yet robust. This allows mugs and bowls to be used just as well at home as they are outdoors, camping, or at a summer cottage.

Muurla & Pippi Longstocking

Muurla combines Finnish product design with the well-known illustrations from Astrid Lindgren's world of Pippi Longstocking. The motifs are based on the unmistakable drawings by Ingrid Vang Nyman. For me, Pippi is not as big a theme at Muurla as the Moomins, but the right items certainly have their appeal and work very well in the product range.

My assessment

After the water glasses, the enamel mugs are for me the strongest Pippi product group from Muurla. They are lightweight, robust, and work not only at the breakfast table but also on the patio, while camping, or at a holiday home. This very suitability for everyday use fits Pippi well in my opinion – a product should be able to withstand a little something.
