Moomins on a grand voyage

With the Moomin Sailors mug, Muurla brings the Moomins out to sea. The blue and white design is inspired by Tove Jansson's classic comic "Moomin and the Sea" and shows the Moomin family on a maritime journey.

The combination of white and blue underscores the nautical character of the motif. This makes the mug not only typically Moomin, but also pleasantly Nordic and timeless.

0.37 liters – a practical everyday size

With 0.37 liters, this mug belongs to the classic sizes of Muurla enamel mugs. It offers enough space for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or milk, and is just as suitable for cold drinks.

Due to the low weight of only about 160 grams, it is also easy to take along. Whether for breakfast at home, a picnic, camping, or a coffee out in nature – this is exactly the kind of situation where enamel shows off its practical advantages.

Enamel – light and robust

Muurla manufactures its enamel products with a core of carbon steel and a double enamel coating. The result is lightweight and robust tableware that can be used both in everyday life and on the go.

The mug is dishwasher safe. However, with hot drinks, the handle will also get hot – a typical practical note for enamel tableware.

Important: The mug is not microwave safe.

My assessment

I particularly like the Sailors mug because of its clear color scheme. White and blue fit perfectly with the maritime theme of the Moomins and make the mug very easy to use in daily life.

At 0.37 liters, it is a very good size for me: large enough for a decent coffee or tea, but still compact and light enough for on the go. It is precisely the combination of the Moomin motif, the maritime theme, and classic enamel tableware that makes this mug a very lovely Muurla model.
