Moomins in the classic Muurla retro style
This small Muurla enamel mug belongs to the classic Moomin Retro series. The Moomin motif combines the familiar characters from Tove Jansson's world with Muurla's typical, clear retro look.
The simple enamel shape in particular goes perfectly with the Moomins. The mug seems uncomplicated, nostalgic, and at the same time timeless.
0.25 liters – the small mug for coffee, tea, and children
With 0.25 liters, this mug is intentionally smaller than the classic 0.37 l Muurla mugs. The size is very suitable for a smaller coffee or tea and is particularly practical as a children's mug.
The mug is also suitable for hot cocoa, milk, or other cold and hot drinks. Due to its low weight of only about 130 grams, it can also be taken along without any problems.
Enamel – light and robust
The mug is made of carbon steel, which is coated with enamel. This makes it light and robust and suitable not only for the kitchen table but also for traveling.
Camping, picnics, the garden, or breakfast at home – the small Muurla mug is easy to use and can be put in the dishwasher after use.
Important: Enamel tableware is not microwave safe.
My assessment
For me, the 0.25 l mug is the small, uncomplicated version within the Muurla Moomin mug range. I find the size very appropriate for children in particular, but adults who prefer smaller mugs will also find a nice alternative here to the larger 0.37 l and 0.55 l models.
And at only around 130 grams, it clearly demonstrates one of the practical strengths of enamel: the mug is light enough for travel while at the same time significantly less fragile than a classic ceramic mug.
