Moomin Christmas magic with a heart
With this large Muurla Christmas bauble, a little piece of Moominvalley comes to your Christmas tree. The heart motif combines the lovely world of the Moomins with classic Christmas decoration, making the bauble an especially beautiful ornament for the Advent and Christmas season.
With a diameter of 9 cm, it is significantly larger than the small Muurla Christmas baubles. This makes the Moomin motif stand out particularly well, and allows the bauble to create a beautiful accent on its own.
Handmade from glass
The Christmas bauble is crafted by hand from glass. A matching satin ribbon for hanging is already included in the delivery.
Glass is a particularly fitting material for Muurla. The Finnish company began in 1974 as a glassworks in the town of Muurla and later developed into a design house using various materials and well-known licensed collections.
Ø 9 cm – a bauble that gets noticed
With a diameter of 9 cm, this Muurla bauble is among the larger Christmas baubles. It is therefore particularly well-suited as a targeted eye-catcher among smaller Christmas ornaments.
It doesn't necessarily have to hang on the Christmas tree, however. Muurla also recommends its glass baubles for decorating windows. The large bauble also looks wonderful hanging from a decorative branch or as part of a Christmas arrangement.
Beautifully combined with the small Moomin baubles
At Nordlichttraum, you can also find the matching small 2-piece set with a heart and snowflake in a 5 cm diameter. The different sizes can be combined very nicely with each other, providing a bit more variety on the Christmas tree.
My assessment
I especially like the 9 cm version because of its size. While the small 5 cm baubles work very well among other Christmas ornaments, this bauble is large enough to truly appreciate the Moomin motif.
The heart motif also makes it a lovely gift idea. And as with the small baubles, I find the connection to Muurla's own history particularly fitting: A Finnish company that originally started as a glassworks now makes handmade Moomin Christmas ornaments out of glass – here, the product and the brand match perfectly.
