Moomin Campers – a large mug for little adventures

0.8 liters is quite a lot. The Muurla Campers is much more than an ordinary mug. It can be used as a large drinking mug, but is just as suitable as a small jug or a practical container for on the go.

The motif shows Little My, Snufkin, Sniff and Stinky on an adventure together. This makes the mug perfect for its intended purpose: being out and about, camping, sitting by the fire and experiencing things together.

From a large mug to a small camping jug

The large opening and the 0.8-liter capacity make the camper particularly versatile. In the morning it can hold a large coffee or tea, when camping it can be used for soup or porridge, and on a picnic it can also be used to collect berries or other small things.

It is precisely this versatility that makes the mug so interesting. It doesn't have to be limited to a single function, but can be used in many different ways depending on the situation.

Enamel on carbon steel – lightweight and robust

The core of the mug is made of carbon steel and has a double layer of enamel. This combination makes enamelware lightweight and durable, making it particularly suitable for outdoor use.

The mug has a decisive advantage over a classic ceramic vessel: it is much lighter and therefore excellent for camping, picnics, the garden and other activities outside the kitchen.

Also suitable for heating

The Campers mug is not just for drinks. It can be used to heat up soup or porridge and can be used on the stove, in the oven, on the grill or over an open fire.

Important: Enamelware must not be put in the microwave.

0.8 liters – when a normal mug is just too small

With 0.8 liters, this Muurla mug is aimed at anyone who likes to have a little more space. The volume is generously dimensioned for a large coffee or tea. When camping, it quickly becomes a practical multi-purpose vessel.

That is exactly why I wouldn't consider it just a mug. The term "mug / jug" actually describes its character quite well.

My assessment

For me, this 0.8 l camper is one of the most interesting Muurla mugs for anyone who doesn't really connect with the classic idea of a "mug". It is large, light and uncomplicated and can be used in many different ways.

I find the combination of the traditional enamel shape and the Moomin Campers motif particularly successful. It doesn't look like a pure fan product, but like a real piece of outdoor equipment that just happens to tell a beautiful story.
