With the Dog wall hook, Bengt & Lotta turn a simple everyday object into a small black dog silhouette. Two integrated hooks take care of the practical task.
For dog owners, one use is particularly obvious: dog leashes and keys can be given a permanent place together. This way, the leash hangs exactly where you need it for your next walk.
Two hooks – many possibilities
The Dog wall hook is not limited to dog leashes. The two hooks are also suitable for keys, lightweight bags, dish towels, hand towels, or other small everyday items.
At just 12 × 8 cm, the hook requires very little wall space. This means it fits even where a classic hook rail would be too large – for example, next to the front door, in a small kitchen, in the bathroom, or in a nursery.
Function becomes the motif
As is typical for Bengt & Lotta, this piece combines graphic art with practical utility. The dog has been reduced to a clear black silhouette, and the two hooks are directly integrated into the design.
This means you aren't just hanging a hook on the wall that happens to have a dog printed on it. The motif and the function form a single object.
My assessment
For me, the Dog wall hook is one of those small Bengt & Lotta products where the concept works exceptionally well. It takes up little space, has two truly usable hooks, and the motif is immediately clear.
I find it particularly nice next to the front door: keys on one hook, dog leash on the other – and both have a permanent place. A small product, but exactly the kind of uncomplicated functionality I appreciate in Scandinavian design.
