God Jul – Christmas in Swedish

“God Jul” is Swedish for “Merry Christmas”. Bengt & Lotta interpret this theme with their characteristic graphic visual language: festive and colorful, yet clean and unmistakably Scandinavian.

The round tray with a 31 cm diameter is particularly suitable for the Advent and Christmas season – from breakfast to coffee and pastries, through to a cozy evening with light snacks.

31 cm diameter – plenty of room for serving

With a 31 cm diameter, this tray offers significantly more surface area than the small God Jul tray in the typical 20 × 27 cm fika format. This makes it particularly suitable for serving for several people: for example, for multiple cups or glasses, a pot with a cup, or a selection of Christmas cookies.

The round tray can also be used as a serving surface on the dinner table. Cookies, pastries, or other small items can be arranged directly on it.

Laminated birch wood – typically Swedish and practical

The tray is made of laminated birch wood with a hard, easy-care surface. As a result, it combines a low profile with high everyday utility. Multiple trays can also be stacked to save space.

After use, the God Jul tray can simply be cleaned in the dishwasher. Especially during the Christmas season, when a tray is in frequent use, I find this a significant practical advantage.

My assessment

What interests me most about this tray is the round format. A 31 cm diameter is large enough to actually serve something, yet it remains handy and is easy to store.

And that is precisely where I see the strength of these Swedish trays: they are not just carriers of beautiful motifs. They are lightweight, stackable, easy to clean, and can be used for transporting as well as serving directly. The God Jul motif makes this a particularly beautiful version for the holiday season.
